Won't You Drive my Sleigh Tonight?

DRUMROLL!!! Introducing Joseppe Baby Bean Martin.

Also known as Seppe for those in the nose

Can you guess who he is named after?

Can you spot him?

Seppe was born fourth only a week ago, and boy did we see him coming from a mile centimeter away. That bright little nose popped out of the sac and blinded us with its shine. Seppe opened his little mouth and wailed and started searching for his mama. His nose led the way.

Seppe is easy to find since he is so white (and pushy!).

Seppe came to us with that bright nose and a voracious appetite. He weighed almost a pound at birth and now clocks in at at 2 pounds 2.2 ounces. He is currently our largest pup.

After a long happy hour, Seppe takes a nap.

And while we liked the beacon that led him to us, we appreciate the deep black of his nose now.

¡Mucho más elegante!

Beauty sleep. Noses don't just turn black!

Here we have another nice close up of his elegant nose.

Seppe has a lot of personality. His Mama already taught him to wink!

Sometimes a good wash is needed. Mama uses her tongue and gets all up in his business with a thorough butt and tummy licking. That always results in:

Puppy bliss

Seppe is also a snuggle bunny puppy. We like that and so does his Mama!

Loving his Mama.

Puppies mostly eat, sleep, poop and tinkle at this age. They also squawk. Seppe, however, is a renaissance pup and refuses to be limited to these activities. Instead, he likes to take off on strolls crawls around the property whelping box. We are not sure if it is because he is protective and is securing the boundaries or he is trying to get away. Surely he is just scouting the perimeter...yeah...that's it.

There are often obstacles he must overcome in the crawl.
Like Mama being right against the rail!

Or blankets and other pups...

So sometimes its best to take a stop at a rest area.

Fuel up, quick nap and onward ho!
And he's ready to hit the road again.

Time for a cuddle break with his other Mama.

Sweet like Hawaiian lehua flower honey.

The circle of life continues and it is time to eat!

Seppe does like his milk milk.

Top and center gives the best access and most comfy seat.

And time to nap. Yet again.

Likes to be in Mama's sight!

Meanwhile Jalapeño is pleased that everyone is feeling better. I am too!!!

Some of you have asked me to describe what it was like when the puppies were bellyaching the other day. Here is a video. It doesn't highlight the worst but it does give you an idea. There is no need to trash puppies completely on the Internet!

Here is our lil Jalapeño feeling tired but happy. She has One-Eye-Orange with her while she takes a grown up break.

Old One-Eye is potty trained and doesn't squawk
so he's allowed on the couch!

Lil Piña, being coy, just coz she can!

She is the sweetest little Mama in the world!

This blog is dedicated to the father of my Seppe and the true love of my life!
